Designing how people experience technology.

I design products, digital experiences and public engagement strategies that help organisations connect technology with people.

My work spans AI-native products, strategic communications, digital campaigns and community platforms, translating complex ideas into experiences that are useful, accessible and meaningful. Whether building a product, designing a campaign or developing a digital ecosystem, I focus on creating experiences that people can understand, trust and participate in.

Good design begins before interfaces.

I believe good design begins long before interfaces. It starts with understanding people, institutions and the systems they navigate every day. Every project is an opportunity to bridge research, strategy and technology in ways that create lasting public value.

Four working prototypes.

Each one follows the same process: a research question, a design hypothesis, and a working experience built to test it.

01 AI Product · Fintech

Purpose-Driven Money

A financial companion that helps people align spending with their values. Prototyped as Worth, it connects everyday purchases to long-term life goals rather than just tracking where money went.

The Challenge

Most personal finance apps answer one question: where did my money go? This project asks a different one: does this decision move me closer to the life I want to build?

Design Question

"How might AI help people make more intentional financial decisions by connecting everyday purchases to the life they want to build?"

Approach
  1. Observe: studied how existing finance apps shape behaviour.
  2. Reframe: shifted from budgeting to intentional decision-making.
  3. Design: built an AI-native product centred on life goals and financial wellbeing.
  4. Prototype: developed a premium consumer experience with invisible AI.
AI Strategy

AI quietly powers transaction categorisation, purchase reflection, habit recognition, narrative generation, goal forecasting and personalised recommendations. Intelligence disappears into the experience.

Responsible Design

Deliberately avoids shame, fear and addictive financial mechanics. Prioritises confidence, transparency, balance and long-term wellbeing.

My Role

Product strategy, AI strategy, UX research, service design, interaction design, information architecture, UX/UI design, visual storytelling and prototype development.

Outcome

Demonstrates how AI-native consumer products can create real value without centring AI itself, connecting everyday spending to the life people want to build.

02 AI Product · Sustainability

Slow Style Companion

Helping people build longer relationships with the clothes they already own, through outfit generation, garment care guidance and repair recommendations built in Lovable.

Case study
The Challenge

Modern wardrobes are full of garments people rarely wear. People forget what they own, struggle to style it, replace damaged clothing instead of repairing it, and make purchases they later regret, in one of the world's most resource-intensive industries.

Design Question

"How might AI encourage slower, more sustainable relationships with clothing?"

Approach
  1. Research: explored slow fashion, circular economy principles and consumer behaviour.
  2. Opportunity: most fashion technology helps people buy more; very little helps them keep what they already own.
  3. Product Strategy: positioned AI as a long-term wardrobe companion, not a shopping assistant.
  4. Prototype: built an interactive AI-native prototype in Lovable to validate the concept.
AI Strategy

AI generates outfits from a user's existing wardrobe, surfaces forgotten pieces, and recommends repair before replacement, always framed around ownership, not consumption.

Product Principles

AI should encourage ownership rather than consumption, extend the life of physical products, and make personal style more sustainable over time.

My Role

Product strategy, UX/UI design, product research and AI experience design. Built with Lovable.

What I Learned

"AI products do not always need to automate work. Sometimes the greatest opportunity is helping people build better relationships with the things they already have."

03 AI Product · Civic Mobility

City Companion

An AI guide for navigating cities with greater confidence. Prototyped as NightGuide, exploring how women move through London at night using context, not just the fastest route.

Service DesignResponsible AICivic Tech

Case study
The Challenge

Today's navigation systems treat mobility as a pure optimisation problem. Women's lived experience shows that night-time journeys are shaped by context as much as by distance.

Design Question

"How might AI help women navigate cities with greater confidence by providing meaningful context rather than simply the fastest route?"

Approach
  1. See: observed London's night-time environment through everyday journeys.
  2. Trace: researched mobility services, women's travel experiences and responsible AI principles.
  3. Map: mapped transport, lighting, activity, waiting spaces and decision points.
  4. Reframe: shifted from "how can AI make women safer?" to "how can AI help people make better-informed decisions while preserving agency?"
  5. Design: created NightGuide, an AI companion adding contextual intelligence to everyday journeys.
Key Features
Best Lit / Most Active RoutingJourney ConfidenceSafe Pause
AI Strategy

AI deliberately stays in the background, supporting contextual recommendations, personalisation and adaptive suggestions. The interface rarely references AI directly: the best AI often feels invisible.

Responsible AI

Avoids predicting whether places are "safe," guaranteeing outcomes, continuous surveillance or excessive data collection. Prioritises human agency, transparency and explainability.

My Role

Problem framing, AI strategy, service design, UX research, journey mapping, systems thinking, product strategy, interaction design and prototype development.

Reflection

"Good AI is defined by restraint. Rather than replacing human judgement, AI should expand it, helping people navigate complexity with greater confidence and context."

04 AI Product · Civic Tech

Civic Care Canvas

Exploring how AI can support civic participation, collective care and public decision-making. Prototyped as CareMap, a decision-support tool for local authorities.

Systems ThinkingPolicy AnalysisData Visualisation

Case study
The Challenge

Most councils optimise refuse collection using operational metrics: schedules, complaints, service performance, which rarely capture how overflowing bins affect residents' sense of safety, pride and confidence in public space.

Design Question

"How might AI help local authorities respond to public cleanliness in ways that strengthen civic care rather than simply improve operational efficiency?"

Approach
  1. See: observed Woolwich through photography, field notes and resident conversations.
  2. Trace: researched the history, policy and governance of waste management.
  3. Map: visualised spatial patterns, service flows and stakeholder relationships.
  4. Reframe: identified the real problem and where AI creates value.
  5. Design: prototyped a human-centred service for borough councils.
Key Features
Live Neighbourhood MapPublic Care ScoreExplainable Recommendations
AI Strategy

AI supports prioritisation and pattern recognition across resident reports and operational data. Every recommendation stays explainable and reviewable by council staff rather than automated end to end.

My Role

Research, service design, AI strategy, UX strategy, information architecture, interaction design, product concept, systems mapping and prototype direction.

Reflection

"AI should begin with people, places and public value, treated as an enabling layer within a broader service, not the centrepiece of the experience."
